AUSTRALIA, 14 DECEMBER 2021
Frasers Property Australia Sustainability Advisor Ruvini Silva has been awarded a prestigious WELL Community Award, becoming one of only a handful of sustainability professionals globally to be honoured by the International WELL Building Institute™ (IWBI) for exceptional market leadership in 2021.
Ms Silva received the important honour for her work progressing the pre-certification, certification and re-certification processes for WELL ratings as well as her work advocating for better health and wellbeing outcomes in the industry through various projects.
“WELL provides an important and valuable framework through which the industry can change the way our buildings, companies and projects positively influence people and communities. It’s a privilege to be recognised among the other deserving recipients,” Ms Silva says.
The WELL Community Awards recognise individuals and organisations from around the globe who are leading the charge to revolutionise the impact our buildings, organisations and communities have on health, equity and quality of life.
“IWBI has experienced exponential growth over the past year, with organisations and industry leaders adopting WELL strategies to demonstrate a commitment to people-first places and an increasing prioritisation of well-being,” said IWBI President and CEO Rachel Hodgdon.
“Through continuous advocacy, engagement and leadership, these award recipients have played an influential role in this growth globally and within their local communities.”
In July 2021, the Australian headquarters of Frasers Property Australia and Frasers Property Industrial became the first commercial office nationally to achieve WELL recertification as recognised by the IWBI.
The WELL recertification positions Frasers Property Australia and Frasers Property Industrial, together the Australian platform of the international Frasers Property Limited, among global corporate leaders in providing a healthy, safe and supportive workplace environment for employees.
In achieving this Australian-first, the organisations elevated the office’s WELL certification from the Gold Certification initially achieved in 2017, to the highest Platinum level now achieved with the recertification.
